Job Description

Director Quality Assurance

Hybrid - Bucharest Romania

JOB OVERVIEW

Are you passionate about building enterprise cloud solutions Do you have a drive for test automation As a Director Quality Assurance at Legion you will play a pivotal role in shaping defining and driving the standards practices and processes for Legions cloud-based WFM application. You will lead a team of dedicated QA professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain a relentless focus on delivering secure scalable and reliable cloud solutions. You will be a key stakeholder in everything from test infrastructure tooling automation build and deployment pipelines and test results reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Develop communicate and execute a comprehensive quality strategy for Legions cloud software products aligning it with the engineering teams goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the implementation of automation testing and continuous integration processes to accelerate release cycles while maintaining product quality. Champion the use of industry best practices and tools for efficient QA.
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide guidance set expectations and ensure the team has the necessary resources to succeed.
  • Design and implement QA processes including test planning test case development and test execution specifically tailored for cloud software. Ensure the testing process encompasses scalability performance security and data integrity aspects.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to provide visibility into product quality. Use data-driven insights to continuously improve the QA process.
  • Collaborate closely with development product management and operations teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Proactively address quality issues and drive solutions.
  • Work with the release management team to plan and execute product releases ensuring thorough testing and validation of cloud software before deployment.
  • Identify prioritize and resolve quality-related issues and defects. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure cloud software adheres to industry-leading security standards and compliance requirements such as ISO 27001 GDPR NIST and any relevant regulations. Develop and execute security testing protocols.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8 to 12 years of experience with cloud software testing including scalability performance and security testing.
  • 8 years managing a QA leadership role managing a globally distributed organization.
  • 5 years experience with one or more test tools and automation such as Testrail Sonarqube Selenium code analysis and DAST.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-standard compliance and security standards for cloud-based applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills with a passion for fostering a collaborative and innovative QA culture.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 3 years of Agile w/ Scrum project management experience
  • Experience with HCM WFM Payroll solutions
  • Experience with QA vendor management

Our posted salary range is done so in good faith based on national data and may be refined for a candidates region/town/cost of living.
