Job Description
Site Development Engineer EIT
The Civil/Site Development Group at GBA is looking for an entry level civil engineer to join our team at our headquarters office in Lenexa Kansas. The Civil/Site team provides site design and construction documents for a wide variety of commercial industrial municipal and residential developments including mixed use office retail multi and single family residential warehouse/distribution medical and recreational facilities.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and preparation of site engineering plans to include site plan layouts site grading storm drainage water utility street and sanitary sewer design and erosion control plans
Assist in coordination with project team utility providers contractors and permitting authorities.
Preparation of construction drawings and permit submittals
Assist with the collection and analysis of field data
Prepare and maintain technical reports
Requirements:
BS in Civil Engineering
0-2 years of experience; previous internships a plus
Adept at working on fast-paced projects
Experience using AutoCAD HEC-HMS and Microsoft Word and Excel software preferred
Possess effective communication skills both written and oral
Must be able to work effectively both on a team and individually
