Job Summary
Responsible for managing a represented and non-represented workforce. Includes scheduling performance management coaching and discipline. Hires and trains new employees. Oversees the purchasing and testing of all rubber goods maintaining appropriate inventory and ensuring all employees receive their PPE in time for exchanging without expiring. Knowledge of each company#s exchange schedule is required. May also manage the inventory of other safety equipment stock as well such as protectors climbing equipment grounds etc. Monitor safety performance productivity and workload as needed to maximize efficiencies and cost-effectiveness. Researches and resolves issues with the rubber goods and laboratory testing equipment. Maintains working relationships with staff in Electric Operations Gas Operations Metering Procurement Purchasing Safety and Training. In addition maintains working relationships with external vendors. Responsible for maintaining purchase contracts and budgets. Actively participates in all aspects of the company safety program to ensure adherence to safety rules/policies as well as OSHA and ASTM compliance
