Job Description

The salary range for this position is dependent on experience level ranging from $94490 to $118113.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing a represented and non-represented workforce. Includes scheduling performance management coaching and discipline. Hires and trains new employees. Oversees the purchasing and testing of all rubber goods maintaining appropriate inventory and ensuring all employees receive their PPE in time for exchanging without expiring. Knowledge of each company#s exchange schedule is required. May also manage the inventory of other safety equipment stock as well such as protectors climbing equipment grounds etc. Monitor safety performance productivity and workload as needed to maximize efficiencies and cost-effectiveness. Researches and resolves issues with the rubber goods and laboratory testing equipment. Maintains working relationships with staff in Electric Operations Gas Operations Metering Procurement Purchasing Safety and Training. In addition maintains working relationships with external vendors. Responsible for maintaining purchase contracts and budgets. Actively participates in all aspects of the company safety program to ensure adherence to safety rules/policies as well as OSHA and ASTM compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans schedules directs and reviews work of subordinates and subcontractors.(25%)
  • Ensures the achievement of departmental goals including O&M and capital budgets. Tracks all pertinent information for reporting. Maintains PPE inventory.(20%)
  • Ensures compliance with applicable rules regulations policies and guidelines.(15%)
  • Interviews and selects candidates for employment. Appraises and provides coaching and counseling to subordinates for continued education.(5%)
  • Researches and resolves issues.(25%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned including restoration efforts during storm and other emergencies.(10%)

Required Qualifications

  • Education & Experience Required:
    • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferred.
    • Associates Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience or High School/GED with the completion of the relevant progression program and 10 years relevant experience required.
    • Equipment troubleshooting experience required
    • Prior supervisory and customer service experience is required.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent organizational skills including prioritization of work.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to learn and use tracking systems.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong customer service ability and strong leadership skills emphasizing safety in all tasks
