About the Role You will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical management of ICU patients, participate in MET and Code Blue responses, liaise with specialists, mentor junior doctors, and ensure safe and efficient care delivery across critical care settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Admission and management of critically ill patients under supervision.
- Timely clinical assessments and responses to deteriorating patients.
- Active participation in ward rounds, handovers, and discharge planning.
- Performance of procedures within scope of competence.
- Supervision of junior staff and medical students.
- Engagement in quality assurance, safety, and education initiatives.
About You To be considered, you will have:
- MBBS or equivalent, with current General or Provisional AHPRA registration.
- A minimum of 6 months experience in ICU, Anaesthetics, or Emergency Medicine.
- Demonstrated procedural competence and acute resuscitation skills (e.g., ALS, BASIC, APLS).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- PGY4 by commencement.
- Demonstrated interest in a career in Intensive Care.
