Job Description
Job Title: Auto-Electrician AC Mechanic
Location: UAE
Department: Maintenance/Service
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Auto-Electrician AC Mechanic to join service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining the electrical systems and air conditioning systems of a variety of vehicles. This role requires expertise in both electrical components and HVAC systems with a focus on ensuring vehicles are fully operational safe and comfortable for use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles including wiring circuits batteries alternators and starters.
- Install repair and maintain vehicle air conditioning (AC) systems including compressors condensers evaporators and refrigerant lines.
- Inspect and troubleshoot the electrical systems of vehicles to ensure all components are working properly.
- Test and ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems such as lights wipers power windows radios and other vehicle electronics.
- Recharge replace and service air conditioning systems including checking for leaks and recharging with refrigerants.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and AC units including cleaning adjusting and replacing components as needed.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical and AC system issues and recommend solutions.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs parts used and service history for each vehicle.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in vehicle electronics including sensors ECU/ECM systems and other vehicle control units.
- Collaborate with the workshop team to provide timely and efficient vehicle service ensuring that all work is completed on schedule.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior mechanics or apprentices.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while performing repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal training or certification in Auto-Electronics and AC systems is preferred.
- Proven experience as an auto-electrician and AC mechanic in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems wiring and electrical diagnostics.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive air conditioning systems including installation repair and maintenance.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair vehicle systems.
- Familiarity with automotive air conditioning refrigerants and environmental regulations regarding their use.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work in a safe and efficient manner.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in automotive electrical systems or air conditioning repair (e.g. ASE EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling).
- Previous experience working with a variety of vehicle types including cars trucks and commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of modern automotive electronics including sensors control modules and multiplex wiring systems.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with possible shift work or overtime depending on service demands.
- Work will be performed in a garage or workshop environment with exposure to vehicle fluids chemicals and working with electrical systems.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves safety goggles and hearing protection is required.
- Some physical labor will be required including lifting heavy components and working in confined spaces.
