We are hiring Medical Scientist - Microbiology into a Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
- As decided by the Chief Medical Scientist and the Laboratory Manager conduct scientific activity in accordance with the necessary INAB and JCI Accreditation Standards.
- Set priorities plan your workload during peak hours and oversee several concurrent tests.
- If necessary take part in the departments "on call" schedule.
- In accordance with hospital rules collaborate with the appropriate staff on innovative concepts and technology.
- As needed take part in the policy-compliant registration and maintenance of laboratory stocks.
- Help with the creation upkeep and enforcement of protocols pertaining to every section of the lab and the associated testing apparatus.
- Help apply and execute operational procedures in accordance with "best practice" standards to maximize resource utilization.
- Engage in the execution of quality management initiatives.
Requirements
- Be a member of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM) or have the eligibility to become one.
- A working knowledge of microbiology is necessary.
- Experience after qualification.
- To guarantee the provision of a suitable laboratory service coordinate with the laboratory management and other hospital departments.
- Possess a professional and committed mindset along with outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Show flexibility in response to the quick changes occurring in the health care system.
