Job Description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is looking for a responsible motivated and skilled General Highway Laborer with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. This individual will be responsible for performing various highway maintenance tasks including traffic control set-ups cleaning and tree/brush removal.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of highway maintenance tasks such as bridge cleaning tree cutting and vegetation removal.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment.
- Set up and take down temporary traffic control systems daily.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Operate company vehicles as required.
- Use all equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner.
Qualifications :
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid drivers license with at least 5 years of clean driving history.
- ATSSA Traffic Control Certification (can be provided by the company if not already certified).
- Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds.
- Ability to work flexible hours including days nights weekends and overtime as needed.
- Capable of driving a box truck or similar vehicle.
- Comfortable and capable of working from various heights.
- Experience with landscaping and weed whacking is required.
