Job Description

Finance Administration

  • Maintain financial records in compliance with SNVs financial procedures.
  • Process travel expense claims and post related transactions including invoices and advances.
  • Verify all bills invoices and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct bank operations such as deposits and issuing cheques.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements and track outstanding advances.
  • Execute financial transactions and payments in line with authorisation levels and financial guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate withholding and timely deposit of direct and indirect taxes as per national tax laws.
  • Manage VAT refund processes and submit claims to the Inland Revenue Office within the established timeline.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and budgets for projects.
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain petty cash records.

Control

  • Review and validate financial data within assigned administrative areas.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in financial records.
  • Report operational bottlenecks to the Manager for timely resolution.
  • Assist in developing and implementing internal control measures.

Documentation

  • Archive all financial documentation systematically.
  • Maintain complete accurate and accessible records in accordance with SNVs filing standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions and maintain an audit trail.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in financial operations
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) preferred

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong command of English; local language proficiency desirable
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Understanding of VAT regulations and tax compliance procedures
  • Knowledge of international accounting standards

  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines

Additional Information :

Duty station: Kathmandu  

Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension depending on budget availability and potential new project opportunities.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Type: National Employment Contract
