Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer with a strong preference for on-premises infrastructure and deep expertise in Kubernetes containerisation and operating systems such as Red Hat Linux.

As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise-grade Red Hat Linux systems ensuring they operate with optimal performance stability and security. You will play a key role in designing deploying and troubleshooting containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes supporting both development and production workloads.

You will lead efforts to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and Ansible Tower enabling scalable and repeatable deployments. Your scripting expertise in Python and Bash will be essential in developing tools and automations that enhance system monitoring operational efficiency and incident response.

Collaboration is central to this roleyou will work closely with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex issues across systems networks and container platforms ensuring high availability and reliability. Security and compliance are critical and you will be expected to apply best practices to safeguard on-premises infrastructure.

Qualifications :

• Extensive hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Docker docker-compose Harbor and Kubernetes.
• Extensive experience in containerization and orchestration Docker Kubernetes and its eco systems and being able to troubleshoot and automate deployments
• Proficiency in Ansible and Ansible Tower for configuration management.
• Solid scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP UDP ICMP DNS OSI model etc.).
• Experience with enterprise data centre technologies (storage switching security).
• Systematic problem-solving approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Solid understanding of system administration and security best practices.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Dynatrace ForgeRock or Elastic/Kibana.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and secure CI/CD practices.
