The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is recruiting for team members to join the Business Enhancement System Transformation (BEST) project a multi-year system modernization initiative for LACOE and over 125 agencies including school districts community colleges charter schools and joint powers authorities.
The Process Engineer - HR (ERP) participates as a human resources functional expert in an integrated process team to collect and interpret information from the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) and Local Educational Agency system users for business process analyses documentation of functional specifications system configuration and testing business process re-engineering and system user training and support.

The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following
Knowledge:
Human resources business processes and functions (e.g. recruitment job classification and compensation position control assignments processing on-boarding off-boarding employment clearances absence management benefits enrollment teacher credentials)
Principles practices regulations and reporting requirements of California public education human resources functions
Methodology of business process modeling and business process improvement
Principles and practices of enterprise business system functionality ERP implementation analysis and design

Required Education and ExperienceEducation:A bachelors degree preferably in human resources management business administration management information systems (MIS) or other field closely related to the job requirements of the classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience:Four years of experience in human resources in the areas of applicant tracking on-boarding employment clearances recruitment job classification and compensation absence management benefits enrollment or teacher credentialing.
Equivalency Provision:Year(s) of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement may substitute for education on a year-to-year basis for up to two years. Current professional certification in one of the following may substitute for two years of required education: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification Human Resource Information Professional (HRIP) Certification Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRMCP) or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:Experience as a user of ERP human resource systems or implementing ERP systems in a California public sector (e.g. K-12 School District community college county office of education) in a human resources unit is preferred. A valid California drivers license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required.
Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
Selection ProcessCandidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of a Technical Project and Structured Interview.
