Job Description
Instructional Assistant Special Education
Pay: $16.66 $17.16/hourJob Summary:
Join our team to support students with special needs in the classroom and beyond. Youll work closely with teachers to help students succeed academically socially and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
Support classroom instruction by adapting activities and materials.
Supervise and assist with tests homework and classwork.
Provide care to students with medical or developmental needs (feeding toileting tube feeding etc.).
Attend training for CPR first aid and emergency procedures.
Support IEP goals through communication with staff and families.
Escort students safely around campus (restrooms cafeteria etc.).
Reinforce positive behavior and follow behavior support plans.
Help de-escalate conflicts and maintain a safe environment.
Keep accurate records and assist with classroom documentation.
Model respectful and inclusive behavior at all times.
Supervise students in the classroom and during other school activities.
Perform clerical duties like copying filing and basic data entry.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Resume
Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or Criminal Background Check
CPR Certification
First Aid Certification
Required Experience:
Junior IC
