ABOUT THE OFFICE OF GOVERNMENT RELATIONS & PUBLIC AFFAIRS (GRPA)
The Legal Services Corporation (LSC) established by Congress in 1974 is the nations largest funder of civil legal aid for low-income individuals. We currently support 130 nonprofit legal aid organizations throughout the nation. LSCs mission is to promote equal access to justice and provide grants for high-quality civil legal assistance to low-income Americans.
The Office of Government Relations & Public Affairs (GRPA) leads LSCs communication with Congress the Executive Branch the media and the public. GRPAs work is vital in securing funding and shaping public understanding of civil legal aid and its impact on low-income communities.
This position is based in Washington DC and will require working from an office in DC in accordance with LSCs hybrid work model. The successful candidate must live in the DC metropolitan area for the duration of the internship. This position will predominantly be performed in person; however there will be potential for remote work up to 60% of your weekly work hours depending on the candidates schedule.

While this internship is unpaid heres youll gain:
The internship is expected to run from September through December 2025 with interns working between 20 to 25 hours per week on a part-time basis.
