SCOPE:

The Facility Caretaker is responsible for ensuring all areas of the main office areas and grounds are maintained at a high level of cleanliness orderly and in a safe condition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Maintains a high standard of cleanliness in offices areas lunchrooms bathrooms and general building areas.
  • Cleans office areas which includes vacuuming washing floors dusting emptying garbage and recycling etc.
  • Cleans and disinfects washrooms sinks and toilets and stocks supplies.
  • Cleans and disinfects lunchrooms floors tables and fridges and stocks supplies.
  • Cleans sinks and boot sanitizer at production entrances.
  • Dusts windowsills desks photocopiers shelving and other fixtures
  • Washes walls and windows as required.
  • Cleans general grounds ensuring there is no garbage or debris on grounds.
  • Maintains inventory of required supplies and requests reorder when needed.
  • If required assists with clearing snow sanding and salting building entrances and sidewalks and stairways.
  • Carrying out minor maintenance such as unplugging toilets oiling hinges maintaining caretaking equipment (e.g. check/clean machines filters vacuum bags).
  • If required assist Production department with processing or packaging activities.
  • Recognizes hazardous unsafe and quality-related issues and raises them with their Supervisor.
  • Other tasks within the scope of their training assigned by their Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous Building cleaning experience
  • Must possess a good knowledge of cleaning procedures and products
  • Exhibit well developed intercommunication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and organize tasks and set priorities to ensure job completion.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
  • Must possess experience in the safe operation and basic equipment such as a vacuum cleaner carpet extractors power scrubber etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Working indoors with some outdoor work as required.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the duties as assigned
  • Must go into production areas for general cleaning
  • Must be able to complete established job-related training programs such as WHMIS MSDS etc.
  • Interacts with team members and management
  • Work hours :16 to 24 hours per week hours are flexible.

  • Responsible to preserve and safeguard all confidential information that comes to their knowledge in the course of employment with Fresh Hemp Foods Ltd.
  • Responsible to observe and comply with the policies of the Company and applicable legal requirements with respect to confidential information and the protection of privacy

GENERAL:

  • Demonstrates the Fresh Hemp Foods Ltd.s Mission Vision and Values in relation to all aspects of the role
  • Comply with basic systems and procedures for Fresh Hemp Foods Ltd.
  • Participate in ongoing training as directed by Management
  • Each Team Member is responsible to report on food safety and/or quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate corrective actions.
