The Nursing Manager supervises and supports medial staff working in Bowen Healths Primary Care and Psychiatric clinics. The Nursing Manager ensures standardization of policies and procedures across medical staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Input on the budgetary needs of clinic resources.
- Proficiency in clinic forms and policies to ensure standardization.
- Responsible for training medical support staff in policy procedure forms utilization and clinic workflow to include point of care testing and injections
- Guide medical support staff in crisis intervention.
- Attend internal and external meetings.
- Complete all required internal and external trainings as required by organization and licensure/certification.
- Facilitate medical support staff meetings.
- Coordinate with Assistant Director of Medical Practice Operations for clinic supplies.
- Oversee that pharmaceutical representative luncheons are executed according to policy guidelines.
- Authorize continuing education for medical support staff.
- Coordinate with county directors in instances where Kurosky Fund access is needed.
- Create clinic schedule and provide coverage as needed.
- Complete and present Administrative Supervision reports and Disciplinaries as needed.
- Complete and present Performance and Competency evaluations with staff routinely.
- Facilitate Hiring and orientation process.
- Audit charts to ensure medical support staff duties are completed thoroughly accurately and timely including but not limited to vital signs AIMS medication education and consent forms.
- Ensure medication and equipment logs are completed by medical support staff accurately and timely.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrates commitment to and practices in line with Bowen Healths core values of respect integrity mission and stewardship.
- Ability to lead develop and encourage staff.
- Ability to implement standards review processes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Basic medical skills including but not limited to obtaining vital signs medication reconciliation administration of oral and injectable medications and basic clinical procedures preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing or actively pursuing a degree in Advance Nursing.
- Experience: Prefer two (2) years experience in behavioral healthcare previous management experience.
- Certificate or Professional License: Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana.
- Valid drivers license and active auto insurance coverage.
- Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks
- Must be a minimum 21 years of age.
