Responsibilities
- Take-in underwriting submissions perform account clearance OFAC clearance and prepare underwriting worksheets for underwriting review
- Set up underwriting files and maintain proper and complete underwriting documentation
- Assist underwriters with underwriting analysis rating and quoting binding and policy issuance
- Maintaining accurate newline and renewal logs
- Manage midterm endorsement requests
- Responsible for the preparation of renewals including the 60/90 day renewal notices
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
- 3 years of current line of business underwriting analyst experience
- Technical underwriting support skills including: submission in-take new and renewal submission management pricing preparation risk analysis preparation underwriting documentation expertise required
- Demonstrated capability of managing all aspects of the underwriting analyst responsibilities
- Knowledge of financial lines products coverages and policy forms
- Strong organizational skills required to successfully manage underwriting files and workflow process
- Customer focused (You excel at relationship building and customer responsiveness)
- Strong written and oral communication skills (i.e. Your communication style is flexible and adapts to the situation)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on a daily basis in response to a dynamic work environment
- Strong sense of accountability (You can work independently and manage to multiple deadlines
Additional Requirements
The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees which for this role include:
Hourly Range: $25-30/hr
Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus.

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the scope complexity and location of the role; the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
