Were seeking a Verifications Specialist who will be involved in all aspects of resident/client insurance verifications. The Verifications Specialist plays a crucial role in checking resident admissions for insurance eligibility and obtaining vital information needed for payment collection.
Position: Verifications Specialist
Location: In-Person Port Hueneme California
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Check all resident admissions for insurance eligibility and essential information required for payment collection.
- Correspond with third-party carriers and/or clients to obtain insurance data.
- Verify and input data into the computer system
- Utilize automated eligibility systems to verify insurance coverage
- Ensure compliance with established departmental policies procedures and objectives.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
Additional Qualifications:
- 2 or more years insurance verifications experience in the healthcare industry preferred
- Must fulfill pre-employment conditions: tuberculosis screening (annually thereafter) background check (including criminal and driving record check) drug screening and reference checks. Ongoing monitoring and screenings during employment in accordance with the law and company policy.
