Job Description

The 2:1 Team Model Advisor role will partner with two Wealth Advisor Executives. The 2:1 model provides a Sr. Financial Advisor with the ability to own/build a book of next generation clients while also directly supporting the primary client relationships of two different Wealth Advisor Executives. The Sr. Financial Advisor will learn the intricacies of working with UHNW clients and also receive direct coaching from Vanguards most experienced advisors.

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in providing advice technical skills in portfolio analysis and a solid understanding of financial planning and investments to create plans that align with client goals.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Operational and financial acumen.
  • The ability to think strategically utilize data analytics and offer consultation skills.

Responsibilities

1. Develop portfolio allocation strategies based on analyses of investment risk tolerance and clients short and long term investment goals. Develop implementation plans and communicate investment strategies.

2. Manage complex client portfolios on a long-term basis. Leverage advanced client relationship management skills to build and retain assigned client base.

3. Work with internal partners to ensure all client needs are consistently met.

4. Participates in the business development process. Collaborate with sales teams to build and deepen relationships with existing and potential clients.

5. Manage and review client portfolios on an ongoing basis and create reports that address client advisory needs.

6. Develop an advanced understanding of client financial situations. Create and implement wealth management strategies.

7. Serve as a resource to internal partners regarding financial planning. Develop advanced knowledge of Vanguard funds products and services to help educate and guide clients. Maintain detailed understanding of financial planning capital markets and the Financial Services industry.

8. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Five years experience in client relationship management or customer service preferred. Experience within Financial Services industry preferred.
    • CFP required.
    • This job requires a 7 63/66 regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA state SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.
    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
