Job Description
A well-established Paper Manufacturer in Constantine MI is actively hiring Industrial Electricians for immediate Direct Hire positions. Role Summary:
Support manufacturing by improving department efficiency in a safe high-quality and productive manner. The Electrician will perform various complex tasks including electrical troubleshooting programming and installations.
Candidate must be licensed in the state of Michigan to be considered for this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan layout install and repair wiring electrical fixtures apparatus and control equipment.
- Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to professionally install new equipment.
- Repair faulty equipment or systems ensuring the quality of all parts produced.
- Attain safety quality and productivity goals.
- Install and maintain equipment to satisfy MIOSHA requirements.
- Train electrical apprentices.
- Report daily activities to supervision for accurate asset maintenance records.
- Learn all aspects of parts produced including quality factors customer needs and acceptable standards.
- Report problems to Manufacturing Shift Leader Assembly Leader or Maintenance.
- Fill in on other machinery or clean up work areas when equipment is not running.
- Attend required training sessions.
- Keep accurate records and complete necessary documentation and reports.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping practices leading by example.
- Read follow and become familiar with all details and work instructions.
- Promote and facilitate the Open Door process and Fair Treatment.
- Participate in Continual Improvement activities.
- Adhere to customer requirements Business Operating System and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to create understand and interpret complex electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop maintain and troubleshoot all programmable controllers.
- Clear understanding of the national electrical code.
- Required to hold and keep current electrical licensure.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction.
