Job Type: Regular Full Time
Job Outline:
The Therapy Porter is a key member of the Central Dispatch Therapy team. Primary duties include:
- Provide transportation support to and from clinic appointments assigned therapy programs and events.
- Transport patient to and from dialysis suites (5 p.m. and 9 p.m dialysis)
- Labs/ Pharmacy/gurney/ other patient package deliveries
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Qualifications:
- Grade 10 education or equivalent
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the position: constant standing and walking power gripping; be able to push and pull frequently up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Be able to work with patients clinical and non-clinical staff from different units
- Ability to work in a team environment to ensure timely transportation of patients for their appointments
- Demonstrate goodcommunication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt easily to change
- Demonstrated satisfactory job performance and attendance history required
