Job Description
About the Role:
A respected employee-owned leader in surveying civil engineering and planning is looking for a Survey Crew Chief to join our growing team. With over 65 years of excellence and innovation we pride ourselves on providing a rewarding work culture competitive benefits and unmatched career growth.
What Youll Do:
- Lead field survey operations using state-of-the-art equipment and software.
- Operate calibrate and maintain GPS robotic total stations and data collectors.

Interpret and work from construction plans and engineering drawings.
- Accurately collect and record field data for boundary topographic and construction staking projects.

Ensure quality productivity and safety standards are met or exceeded.

Maintain survey vehicles and equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with field staff office staff and clients.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Survey Crew Chief (or strong surveying experience ready to step into the role).
- Strong understanding of construction plans and the ability to interpret them in the field.
- Comfortable working with and learning new survey technology and equipment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.

Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors sometimes in challenging conditions and work overtime or travel as needed.
Nice to Have:

Experience working with municipal and private sector clients.

Willingness to travel for out-of-area projects when required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand walk lift kneel crouch and carry equipment frequently throughout the day.

Travel and overtime may be necessary depending on project needs.
Interview Process:
- The initial phone screening was conducted by an SRG recruiting partner.

Phone Interview With The Company Director of Surveying.
- In-Person Interview: with a 30-minute meeting with the Director to assess team fit and field experience.
