We are currently seeking a talented full-time Planning Manager for Life Science and Industrial Manufacturing projects. In this pivotal role youll have the opportunity to work directly with clients delivering iconic major capital projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the planning function on allocated project and contributes as required. Verifies projects/tenders to ensure alignment to define planning processes; ensure projects/tenders are appropriately planned scheduled and monitored.
- Support Project Management function in the delivery of the project as required ensuring they are delivered on time and profitably. Responsible for the planning of medium complexity projects a portfolio of smaller projects or sections of larger projects.
- Manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
- Assist senior management in negotiations contract development and other business development ensuring that due diligence is applied.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with the Client and other project stakeholders both internal and external.
- Develops detailed plans taking full cognizance of logistics site and project constraints
- Interfaces with project team contributing to the production of the weekly progress report to the project team and understand functional obligations under form of contract.
- Reviews and captures productivity to measure progress.
- Communicates effectively with the clients project teams and stakeholders.
- Establishes and oversees project work plan and deadlines.
- Undertakes tasks required to full fill the requirements of the project or assignment.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management Engineering or other related field (MSc MBA preferred) and working toward a professional designation.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience working in a Planning/ Scheduling role in the construction industry with a preference for experience delivering capital projects in Life Sciences Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing.
- Experience working in a Planning and Scheduling position for engineering procurement and construction projects is essential.
- Intermediate software user and able to provide schedule outputs in various formats to suit the audience/context.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Able to read and understand construction drawings.
- Excellent communication (written verbal and presentation) skills along with the ability to assure service delivery and provide meaningful/actionable insights.
