About the Role:

Digital Operations:

Digital Operations is a new organisation optimising OSTTRAs derivative processing operations through automation and advanced technology. Operating with a startup mindset cross-regional presence and a flat structure our mission is to minimise manual effort across the firm and our clients automate repetitive tasks generate data-driven client insights and drive product development for enhanced automation. The key lead roles for the organisation are Solution Design Team Lead Development Team Lead and Senior Solutions Architect and the organisation will work independently and self-sustained.

Role Overview:

The Solution Design Team Lead is a critical role within the organisation responsible for leading a team of Solution Designers and AI Engineers. This team owns the analysis design and implementation of technology-driven solutions that optimise OSTTRAs processes and operations. This includes optimising client resource usage user experience and ultimately the value clients gain from Osttras products and services. By enhancing client-facing processes and optimising internal workflows the Solution Design Team Lead directly contributes to improved client time and cost efficiency while maximising the overall value delivered by OSTTRA. Besides managing the team and driving the analysis and design of technological solutions the role also involves collaborating with diverse stakeholders including product development teams product managers operations teams and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Analysis and Process Optimisation: Conduct in-depth analyses of client service workflows particularly within Salesforce to identify inefficiencies bottlenecks manual processes and areas ripe for automation and self-service solutions. Collaborate closely with operations teams to understand current challenges and define data-driven solutions. Analyse historical support cases to identify trends and recurring issues informing optimisation strategies.

  • Cross-Functional Solution Design and Optimisation: Partner with product development teams and product managers to design and specify technology solutions that optimise identified operational needs. This includes contributing to the design and enhancement of both central solutions and product-specific features and services. Develop detailed specifications and documentation to guide technology implementation ensuring alignment with product and business strategy. Advocate for product improvements that drive client value and operational efficiency.

  • Independent Solution Design and Implementation Oversight: Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions from concept to deployment focusing on optimisation of processes and outcomes. Collaborate with senior leadership to define solution scope objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure seamless integration and execution. Analyse solution performance post-implementation iterating as needed to achieve optimal results and demonstrating return on investment.

  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Manage and mentor a team of Solution Designers and AI Engineers providing guidance fostering professional development and ensuring effective team collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in Industrial Management or similar discipline

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience but not necessarily prior experience as a team lead as we see this as a potential first opportunity to be a leader.

  • A strong background in finance statistics or a related field combined with a demonstrated interest in technology and its application within financial services.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns extract insights from data and develop effective optimisation strategies.

  • Experience in a product design business analysis or similar role focused on solution development implementation and process optimisation.

  • Exceptional communication interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and senior leadership.

  • Self-motivated detail-oriented and results-driven with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

  • Project management experience a process-oriented mindset and experience with change management practices.

  • A foundational understanding of technology including AI technology automation tools and software development processes.
