We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team!
The successful candidate will:
- Manage the day-to-day production needs from an assigned station.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus; utilise various kitchen utensils and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep production to the level required by the Executive Chef.
- Effectively participate in a professionally run service period ensuring excellence in cooking timing plate assembly and communication.
- Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment throughout the shift in accordance with the restaurant standards.
In addition he/she should be able to:
- Execute orders for food items with the highest standards as designated by the head chef.
- Work flexible shifts.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food products and menus.
- Work under pressure
- Always maintain the service area/tables and work area neat and clean.
- Implement and follow company procedures hygiene and safety standards.
Requirements - 3 years in a similar position ideally within a hotel environment or luxury restaurant.
- Ability to perform all essential duties during a lengthy high-volume and high-pressure service.
- Superb attention to detail and driven by delivering exception standards.
- Genuinely care about the quality of the food they prepare.
- Capacity to work with a sense of urgency.
- Contribute to the growth and success of the team.
- Good English Language skills.
