Your Position:

Join our team as a Shift Leader where youll guide your team to excel in health and safety standards productivity and equipment maintenance at one of our largest distribution centers. Youll oversee a multi-disciplinary team enhancing both technical performance and staff capabilities to ensure smooth operations.

As the go-to person for resolving technical and operational issues youll keep everything running smoothly and communicate effectively with stakeholders. This role is perfect for proactive detail-oriented individuals committed to excellence in service and operational delivery. Youll play a key role in maximising the systems operational output and ensuring we consistently meet our contractual service levels.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations monitor system performance and address technical challenges.

  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain high service quality standards and meet customer expectations.

  • CMMS Reporting oversee accurate reporting and tracking of maintenance activities.

  • Set and achieve KPIs for operational performance safety and customer satisfaction.

  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

  • Use data-driven insights for performance and development decisions.

  • Support career growth through personalised coaching and development plans.

  • Encourage reporting of unsafe conditions and suggest improvements.

  • Keep employees updated on safety practices and track safety incidents.

  • Ensure the performance and reliability of the automated system and Shift Teams.

  • Enhance team skills and implement improvements for system efficiency.

  • Minimize downtime and maintain operational flow using data insights.

  • Address inquiries promptly and maintain clear communication.

  • Ensure thorough handovers and conduct root cause analysis for errors.

  • Enhance problem-solving and innovation through team development.

  • Promote a culture of ownership responsibility and respect.

  • Focus on continual learning and professional development.

  • Use operational data for quality control and recommend improvements.

  • Engage the team with recognition rewards and growth opportunities.

About You

You are an experienced leader who consistently strives to add value and foster a collaborative team culture. Your dedication to building strong cohesive teams and driving continuous improvement sets you apart as a key contributor to our success.

  • A degree diploma or certificate in mechanical engineering electrical engineering or a related technical field.

  • Experience leading technical teams in an automated environment is a plus.

  • Strong strategic planning skills for site development and enhancing team capabilities.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels both in writing and verbally.

  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret data control system reports and diagnostics for efficient equipment management.

  • Ability to act as a technical point of contact during escalations and incidents handling requests from both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) is beneficial.
