CNC Programmer - Custom Fab FLSA Class:Non-Exempt/Hourly Department:Custom Fab Type:Full-Time Reports To:Engineering Director EEO-1 Class:Professional Pay Range:$25.60 - $37.00 per hour ***PAY IS BASED ON EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILL Summary/Objective | The CNC Programmer is a skilled and detail-oriented individual with experience in custom fabrication. This individual will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs for a variety of custom parts and components ensuring high-quality output while maintaining efficiency and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery G-code programming and CAD/CAM software in a custom fabrication environment. | Essential Functions | - Develop edit and optimize CNC programs for custom parts using CAD/CAM software (e.g. Mastercam Fusion 360 SolidWorks CAM).
- Interpret technical drawings blueprints and 3D models to ensure accuracy in part design and machining.
- Collaborate with engineers designers and shop personnel to understand part requirements and manufacturing feasibility.
- Set up and test CNC programs on machines including mills lathes lasers and plasma cutters.
- Troubleshoot and refine CNC programs to improve cycle times tool life and part quality.
- Select appropriate tools fixtures and machining strategies for various materials including aluminum steel stainless and composites.
- Maintain accurate documentation for CNC programs and setup sheets.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures.

| Qualifications | - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
| Educations and Experience | - Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a custom fabrication or job shop environment.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g. Inventor Mastercam Fusion 360 SolidWorks).
- Strong understanding of machining processes tool selection and G/M code.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with various CNC machines including 3-axis 4-axis and 5-axis mills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming machining or a related field.
- Experience with prototype or low-volume production work.
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing or hybrid processes is a plus.
