(Note: This is a Fixed Term position with an initial contract period of 1 year.)


The ideal candidate will have extensive research background with user-centered design/technique of consumer products usability evaluations at various stages of product development and SW and HW design proposal based on user feedback. He or she will work on prototype which requires trouble shooting of the software or designing prototype using Figma or other SW. He or She is required to understand SW and HW design to propose ideal user experience design. He or she will have experience with effectively negotiating interactions with various stake holders such as designers engineers and business development.


Responsibilities:
1. Plan and manage research with stake holders which includes surveys ethnographic field studies task based usability test sessions contextual inquiries expert reviews based on systematic User Centered Design method
2. Project management
3. Recruit participants and scheduling
4. Create discussion guide moderate sessions analyze the data and create report
5. Design survey analyze and create report
6. Design/develop prototype or trouble shoot prototype
7. Manage stakeholders request
8. Propose or design solution based on users feedback
9. Work with stake holders to design or create HW or SW solutions


Desired Skills:
ability to focus on the customers needs
knowledge of systematic user-centered design principles
Knowledge of UI industry standards for interface design and user testing methodologies
experience with statistical analysis of user research survey creation
hands on knowledge and experience in designing and developing prototype
ability to work independently and efficiently on complex projects
ability to deliver high quality work on tight schedules
ability to work with engineer to solve complex software or hardware problems
careful attention to detail
strong verbal and written communication skills
ability to collaborate and work as a team
understanding for multi cultures
Work with stake holders from different cultural background and native languages and manage their expectations
Mentor junior members


Requirements:

Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Human Factors Human-Computer Interaction with demonstrated experience in an equivalent field min of 3 years
Advance knowledge and hands on experience on power point word and excel.
Proficiency in Qualtrics
Basic knowledge in Figma or other type of development tool or programming

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $111kto $148k.The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors which may include as applicable the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position years of relevant experience specific and unique skills level of education attained certifications or other professional licenses held and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the salary range does not include any other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. This position provides select employer-provided benefits including healthcare insurance.
