Salary: 28168 - 39244 per annum pro rata (Academic Grade 4 13) (Dependant on skills qualifications and experience)

Job Type: Permanent Part Time 22.5 hours per week 52 weeks per year

Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Travel & Tourism to join our team.

Our campuses deliver a diversity of facilities from the country estate and farm of our Lackham campus to new hi-tech digital and state of the art facilities at our Trowbridge Salisbury and Chippenham sites. We have invested 65 million in our estate over the past 10 years. Our turnover is 45 million per annum and growing we employ some 650 staff and support around 11500students.

Lecturer in Travel & Tourism The Role:

Are you passionate about shaping the future of travel and tourism professionals Wiltshire College & University Centre invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Travel & Tourism. In this role you will:

  • Teach across a range of Travel & Tourism courses including units such as customer service aviation operations sustainable tourism events and global destinations.
  • Create dynamic interactive lessons that reflect current industry trends and employer expectations.
  • Support learners in developing professional and personal skills that prepare them for successful careers.
  • Take part in curriculum development student enrichment activities and community or industry partnerships.

Lecturer in Travel & Tourism - Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging curriculum content in travel and tourism subjects.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students to ensure their holistic development.
  • Contribute to the design and assessment of course modules ensuring alignment with industry standards and educational goals.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings committees and other college-wide initiatives.

Lecturer in Travel & Tourism You

The ideal candidate will hold:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Travel & Tourism or a related field.
  • Previous teaching experience in higher education or vocational training settings preferred.
  • A teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards one).
  • Industry experience and/or recognised professional qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
  • Enthusiasm for innovation in teaching methods and curriculum development.
