PostgreSQL Migration DBA Contract FS
Location: Fully Remote (UK-based)
Contract Type: 6 Months Inside IR35
Day Rate: Negotiable
Clearance: BPSS (or eligibility for it)

Were supporting a major financial services organisation (FS) with a key phase of their database transformation journey and are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Migration DBA to join the team on a fully remote basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Support application teams throughout the migration lifecycle: pre-migration planning cutover execution and post-migration stabilisation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot issues related to data migration
• Contribute to weekend cutovers as requiredavailability for weekend work is essential

Desired Experience

• Strong background in PostgreSQL migration projects especially from Oracle
• Hands-on experience with EDB Migration Toolkit (EDB MTK) and/or Ora2Pg
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams
• Previous experience in enterprise-level environments preferred
