BI Specialist

Verisure are looking for a skilled BI Specialist with expertise in PowerBI to join our team. The purpose of this role is to maintain and enhance our existing reporting systems in PowerBI while also playing a key role in developing new reports and analytics solutions. You will work within the PowerBI and Snowflake ecosystem to create and implement new solutions in our designated applications.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining developing and optimizing reports applications and data flows ensuring that stakeholders have easy access to actionable insights. You will work closely with various teams to streamline data processes challenge requirements and support the creation of a future-proof BI platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and generate reports and applications from relevant systems ensuring they are accurate timely and meet the needs of stakeholders.

• Clarify structure and challenge requirements from stakeholders to optimize solutions minimize the number of reports and promote the use of existing reports.

• Develop improve and optimize reports applications and data flows to ensure that they remain relevant and efficient.

• Contribute to the creation of a future-proof maintainable Business Intelligence platform that meets evolving business needs.

• Analyze data from various applications summarize results and draw actionable conclusions to support business decisions.

• Train colleagues and end-users on BI tools and applications ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to leverage data effectively.

• Empower users across the organization to create their own simple reports and analyses through intuitive BI tools.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Specialist who thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background particularly in Power BI and SQL with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights. They should be proactive detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards. As a team player the candidate will also be comfortable training colleagues and end-users ensuring that everyone can make the most of the BI tools and applications.

• Experience:
  At least 3 years of hands-on experience working with Power BI including expertise in data modeling creating measures designing reports and providing user training.

• Technical Skills:
  Strong proficiency in SQL with a preference for experience in the Snowflake environment. The ideal candidate should be able to write efficient queries and work seamlessly with large data sets. Proficiency in Python is a plus.

• Languages:
  Fluency in both Swedish and English both written and spoken. The ability to communicate effectively in both languages is crucial for collaborating with teams and stakeholders.

• Project Management:
  Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and meeting deadlines. The candidate should be able to prioritize tasks work independently and ensure timely delivery of projects.
