Job Description:
Position Purpose Summary:
Rotary Hospice House is a community that honors life values humility and shares hope. As an RCA you treat all residents volunteers and staff members with respect and courtesy. You regard the dignity and best interests of each resident recognizing that they have a right and an obligation to take responsibility for personal actions and choices. You are expected to fulfill your RCA obligations and responsibilities with integrity and perform every duty in a conscientious diligent and efficient manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM EDUCATION
The applicant has a current license as a Registered Care Aide with the BC Care Aide Registry. The applicant has a clean criminal record check for vulnerable populations. The applicant has experience in the field of palliation and/or an interest in gaining knowledge in the field of study.
PHYSICAL EFFORT/DEXTERITY REQUIRED:
The performance of the job requires a frequent amount of walking and the physical ability to offer personal care. The applicant can effectively seek help from co-workers when 2 people are required to safely deliver care.
CONCENTRATION and SKILLS REQUIRED:
The performance of the job requires the ability to offer personal care in a respectful manner to assess and report changes in physical and emotional well-being and to offer a compassionate approach to each resident and their family. It requires the ability to work with all team members including attentive listening and effective and respectful communication.
Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $25.55 to $26.05 with a maximum of $26.55.Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
