The Opportunity

We are now inviting applications for committed and reliable Kitchen Support Experts (Steward/Kitchen Hands Back of House) to join our hotel team. These vital team members play an essential role in supporting various hotel operations particularly in the kitchen and food and beverage departments.
As a Kitchen Support Expert you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and back-of-house areas. Your duties will include washing dishes china ware flatware cutlery crockery and kitchen equipment; sweeping and mopping floors; and cleaning and detailing kitchen machinery. You may also assist in preparing fresh linen and spotless dining ware operating and maintaining cleaning equipment (e.g. dishwashing machines hand wash stations) and transporting dishware throughout the hotel.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in a similar position who takes pride in keeping the kitchen clean well-maintained and organized at all times while strictly adhering to workplace health safety and sanitation standards.

About You

• Experience working in a similar Steward/Kitchen Hand position (hotel or hospitality environment preferred)
• Take work health and safety seriously and uphold hygienic standards and practices - always
• Passion for hospitality and supporting our entire Culinary and Food and Beverage team
• Good communications skills
• Strong attention to detail and highly organised (able to manage multiple priorities)
• Collaborative and willing to help where and when required
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
• Collaborative in your approach and able to build trusted working relationships
• Move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 14kgs without assistance. Stand sit or walk for an extended period of time.
• Willing to be flexible is essential as shifts will include days evenings weekends and public holidays
• Full working rights in Australia is essential
