As a Specialist, you will:

• Deliver high-quality care to public and private patients.
• Participate in research, quality improvement, and educational activities.
• Support inpatient units with specialist input.
• Supervise and teach RANZCOG trainees and junior doctors.
• Be part of a 1:5 on-call roster.

About the Service

• 1,000 births annually with support from a Level 4 maternity unit, Level 4 neonatal unit, and 8-bed ICU.
• RANZCOG-accredited training site for core and advanced procedural trainees.
• Well-supported by experienced midwives including MGP model of care.
• Gynaecology services include colposcopy and laparoscopy.

The current senior staffing mix includes full time and part time Specialists; in addition, it is RANZCOG accredited for 2 FRANZCOG core trainees and Advanced Proceduralist trainees. Excellent continuing education opportunities are led by training Registrars with support from the consultants. The gynaecology service includes colposcopy and laparoscopy.

Essential Qualifications:

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG),
  or
• An equivalent specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and have been assessed as substantially comparable by RANZCOG.
