Job Description
Shepherd Neame is on the lookout for a part time Housekeeper to join our team so if you enjoy hospitality but prefer working behind the scenes supporting your colleagues and contributing to the teams overall success; then this may be just the job for you.
This role will see you working approximately 20 hours per week dependant on occupancy. Additional hours overtime may also be available for holiday cover throughout the year.
Built in 1826 to serve local mill workers the Millers Arms provides some of the finest food and drink in the heart of the cathedral city of Canterbury Kent. The riverside pub within walking distance of the citys top tourist attractions boasts 12 stylish ensuite bedrooms and it is a great place to stay or relax with a drink or bite to eat.
At Shepherd Neame we know that first impressions count so you will play an important part in our business ensuring that you supportthe delivery of a clean and welcoming environment for all of our guests and that you acknowledge our customers with a warm welcome.
If you havent got any previous experience in a similar roleplease do not worry so long as that you possess some of the qualities outlined below we can train you and teach you everything else that you will need to know.

Britains oldest brewer Shepherd Neame has been based in the market town of Faversham Kent for over 300 years. An independent family business we boast an award-winning visitor centre and more than 300 pubs and hotels throughout London and the South East from the historic heart of the City to the Kent coastline. We employ around 1500 team members across our pub estate and more than 270 at our Brewery and Support Office.
Perhaps best known for great British classic ales such as Spitfire Amber which carries the Royal Warrant our diverse portfolio includes Five Grain Lager the Bear Island Collection and the Whitstable Bay Collection. We also brew international lagers under licence including premium Thai lager Singha and American best-seller Samuel Adams Boston Lager and are the sole UK distributor for Truly hard seltzer.
