Job Description
- Location: Fort Worth TX 76104
- Shift: 07:00 AM 03:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Prepare and arrange treatment rooms with instruments equipment trays and supplies per department needs.
- Clean and disinfect instruments using approved solutions.
- Operate sterilization equipment according to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Replenish distribute and manage inventory of instruments and reusable equipment.
- Follow strict safety environmental and infection control policies to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Assist with training and mentoring Sterile Processing Technician 1 personnel.
- Lead in-service education and act as a resource for best practices within the team.
- Knowledge of sterilization and decontamination techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow all safety and infection control standards.
- Leadership skills for mentoring and training others.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of sterile processing or surgical instrumentation experience
- Certifications: Must have one of the following (required):
- CBSPD Certified Board Sterile Processing & Distribution
- CRCST Certified Registered Central Service Technician
- CSPDT Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
- CST Certified Surgical Technologist.
