Sterile Processing Tech Permanent Role - Location: McKinney TX 75071
- Shift: 09:00 AM 05:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Prepare and arrange surgical rooms including setting up instruments equipment treatment trays and supplies.
- Clean instruments and equipment using approved detergents and disinfectants.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment according to established protocols.
- Maintain and track inventory of instruments and supplies for surgical and general use.
- Replenish and distribute reusable medical equipment and sterile supplies efficiently.
- Follow all safety environmental and infection control protocols to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Provide mentorship and training to Sterile Processing Technician 1 staff.
- Conduct or assist in in-service training and skills-sharing sessions with the team.

- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain professionalism with staff and patients.

Qualifications: Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (Required)
Certification (Must have one of the following):
- CBSPD Certified Board Sterile Processing and Distribution
- CRCST-Certified Registered Central Service Technician
- CSPDT-Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
- CST Certified Surgical Technologist.
