Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and align process control objectives and tasks to help resolve manufacturing challenges and lower production costs.
- Design equipment material and workstation layouts to illustrate how processes can be completed efficiently.
- Evaluate operation sequences material flow and layout information to detect inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and define manufacturing processes and labor standards to minimize waste of time materials and labor.
- Coordinate and lead training efforts.
- Create and maintain documentation for standard work procedures.
- Execute physical modifications to facility layouts.
- Design and construct plant updates jigs and fixtures as needed.
Education and/or Experience
- Experience in production optimization and training of manufacturing processes such as assembly piping and wiring
- Knowledge of technology and materials used in above processes
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing
- Knowledge of SAP manufacturing software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- High School diploma and 6 years experience in manufacturing
- Associates Degree in Engineering preferred and 4 years experience in related manufacturing processes
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred
