We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Safety Engineer to lead and implement safety practices at construction and industrial project sites. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in site safety management job safety analysis (JSA) risk assessments and compliance with safety protocols as per plant and project-specific standards.
Develop implement and enforce health and safety policies procedures and programs on-site.
Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) risk assessment reports and site-specific safety documentation.
Conduct safety training sessions for BSO (Basic Safety Orientation) work permit receivers and fire watchers in alignment with plant-specific guidelines.
Monitor site activities to identify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective measures are implemented immediately.
Lead internal safety audits and prepare monthly safety summary reports for management review.
Facilitate toolbox talks and daily safety briefings for workers and supervisors.
Coordinate with project managers and HSE officers to ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.
Investigate incidents near-misses and implement root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate safety records reports and documentation for audits and client review.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical or related field).
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in construction safety preferably in industrial or petrochemical projects.
In-depth knowledge of safety standards regulations and codes applicable to construction and industrial sites.
Proficient in preparing safety documentation including JSA risk assessments and safety summary reports.
Strong understanding of work permit systems and emergency preparedness protocols.
Excellent communication and training skills to guide teams and conduct safety workshops.
Capability to perform audits root cause analysis and incident investigations.
Familiarity with international safety standards (e.g. OSHA ISO 45001) is preferred.
