Overview:
The EAL Head will be responsible for overseeing the English as an Additional Language (EAL) program and Chinese program. This role involves developing curriculum coordinating EAL staff supporting EAL students and ensuring the effective implementation of EAL strategies to enhance language acquisition and academic success. Key Responsibilities: l
1. Develop and implement EAL curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. 2. Supervise and support EAL teachers providing guidance on instructional strategies and resources. l
2. Collaborate with academic staff to integrate language support into mainstream curriculum. l
3. Conduct assessments to identify EAL students language proficiency levels and monitor progress. l
4. Organize professional development opportunities for EAL staff to enhance teaching practices. l
5. Liaise with parents teachers and administrators to address EAL student needs and progress. l
6. Maintain accurate records and data on EAL student performance and program effectiveness. l
7. Stay informed about best practices and trends in EAL education to continually improve the program. l
8. Participate in Admission Work assist in school admissions work provide relevant information and consultation to potential students and parents l
9. Participate in organizing and coordinating activities at the summer new student camp to provide new students with opportunities to adapt to the school environment and English learning
Qualifications: l
1. Masters degree in Education Linguistics TESOL or related field . l
2. Certification in ESL/EAL teaching. l
3. Previous experience in EAL education with a proven track record of program development. l
4. Strong leadership and communication skills. l
5. Knowledge of language acquisition theories and teaching methodologies. l
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Education
Bachelor degree or above;
Full Time
