OTT prepares and maintains operating theatres and equipment and assist surgical and anesthetic teams during operations. Operation Theatre Technician requires to work in collaboration with Doctors and Nurses and other healthcare providers and deliver the healthcare services as suggested by them.
As post holder you are responsible for the tasks such as but not limited to the following:
- Prepare and maintain operation theatre
- Maintain equipment support in an acute care environment
- Delivering planned care to all assigned patients with minimum supervision
- Carrying out unit procedures independently as per protocols
- Ensuring documentation as per standards
- Identify and move to maintain a sterile field
- Follow infection control policies and procedures
- Manage and maintain theatre equipment
- Prepare patient for operative procedures
- Provide intra-operative equipment and technical support
- Assist anesthetist in handling emergencies outside of OT Room
- Ensure availability of medical and diagnostic supplies and manage hazardous waste
- Work effectively with others
- Manage work to meet requirements monitor and assure quality of OT Room
- Maintain a safe healthy and secure working Environment
- Report any critical incident to OT In-charge
- Follow proper attire and good attitude at work
- Avoid any verbal communication that can harm our working environment
- Performance assessment will be using 360-degree feedback
- Follow KPIs which will be reviewed 3 monthly and feedback provided
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and biomedical waste disposal protocols
Qualifications :
Matric in Science or Intermediate along with Diploma in OT Technician from recognized institution
Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a tertiary care hospital
