The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to enhance the hotels brand awareness drive revenue growth and position the property as a leading luxury destination in Cancn. This role oversees digital marketing branding PR advertising and promotional campaigns while ensuring alignment with the hotels business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy & Brand Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to promote the hotels luxury positioning dining outlets spa events and guest experiences.
- Maintain and strengthen the hotels brand identity ensuring consistency across all channels (website social media print etc.).
- Monitor market trends competitor activities and customer insights to adjust strategies accordingly.
2. Digital Marketing & Online Presence:
- Understanding of the hotels digital marketing efforts including SEO/SEM email marketing paid advertising (Google Ads Meta etc.) and content strategy.
- Lead social media strategy (Instagram Facebook LinkedIn TikTok etc.) engaging with influencers and generating visually compelling content.
3. Public Relations & Media Relations:
- Collaborate with PR agencies and media outlets to secure coverage in luxury travel publications blogs and broadcast channels.
- Organize press trips FAM tours and media events to showcase the hotels offerings.
- Handle crisis communications and maintain a positive brand reputation.
4. Advertising & Promotions:
- Plan and execute multi-channel advertising campaigns (print digital OTA partnerships etc.).
- Develop seasonal promotions packages and partnerships with luxury brands or local attractions.
- Monitor campaign performance and ROI adjusting strategies as needed.
5. Content Creation & Storytelling:
- Supervise the production of high-quality visual and written content (photos videos blogs newsletters).
- Ensure all marketing materials reflect the hotels luxury standards and appeal to target audiences (leisure travelers honeymooners corporate clients etc.).
6. Analytics & Reporting:
- Track KPIs (website traffic conversion rates social engagement revenue impact) and prepare regular reports for management.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing efforts and budget allocation.
Qualifications :
- Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Hospitality or related field.
- 5 years of marketing experience preferably in luxury hotels/resorts or tourism.
- Strong expertise in digital marketing (SEO SEM social media email automation tools).
- Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics Meta Business Suite CRM systems).
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Creative thinker with strong project management and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of the Cancn/Riviera Maya market and key travel industry trends
- Preferred:
- Experience with luxury hospitality brands.
- Familiarity with hotel PMS/CRS systems (e.g. Opera Canva).
- Relationships with travel agencies influencers and media contact
