Job Description

This is a critical leadership role within Endavas Strategic Programmes function reporting directly to the Managing Director Strategic Programmes. This role is responsible for establishing and managing a best-in-class PMO ensuring effective governance risk management change control and programme execution to support Endavas transition to higher-risk outcome-based commercial models.

The role will require a strategic leader who can set up and operate a global PMO balancing governance with pragmatic delivery while maintaining Endavas collaborative culture. The individual will be responsible for embedding AI-driven reporting and predictive analytics ensuring programme success through risk management dependencies tracking and change control.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic PMO Leadership & Governance

  • Define and establish the Strategic Programme Management Office (SPMO) to support global programme execution.
  • Develop and implement a governance framework that provides transparency and accountability across all strategic programmes.
  • Establish AI-enabled reporting dashboards for real-time risk tracking programme performance and decision-making support.
  • Create and enforce risk issue assumption and dependency (RAID) management frameworks that ensure programme stability and predictability.

2. Change Management & Customer Engagement

  • Define and manage a structured change control process ensuring that all programme changes are assessed communicated and executed effectively.
  • Engage directly with key customers and stakeholders ensuring PMO services align with client needs and contract obligations.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Deals team to ensure smooth transition from deal closure to execution maintaining Endavas reputation for delivery excellence.
  • Develop customer-facing PMO capabilities including Plan Management proactive risk mitigation and transparent reporting.

3. Risk & Dependency Management

  • Lead the implementation of predictive analytics to identify risks and dependencies across the portfolio before they escalate.
  • Ensure that all projects and programmes adhere to robust risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in how risks dependencies and assumptions are identified tracked and mitigated.

4. AI & Automation in PMO Operations

  • Leverage AI and automation to enhance PMO efficiency ensuring that governance processes are streamlined and value-driven.
  • Implement AI-powered financial tracking and forecasting models ensuring accurate budget management for strategic programmes.
  • Develop AI-driven insights for customer success tracking allowing real-time monitoring of client satisfaction and contract performance.

5. People Leadership & Continuous Learning

  • Build and mentor a high-performing Strategic PMO team fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Work with the Chief People Officer to assess PMO capabilities vs. future state requirements identifying key skills gaps and development opportunities.
  • Establish a Continuous Learning Framework that promotes innovation knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across teams.

6. Commercial & Monetisation Strategy

  • Develop a Monetisation Strategy for the PMO including offering Programme Management as a Service (PMaaS) as a potential revenue stream.
  • Position the Strategic PMO as a value-driving function demonstrating how PMO services can enhance Endavas competitive edge in high-risk outcome-based contracts.
  • Ensure that PMO-led initiatives contribute to measurable business outcomes supporting Endavas FY26 budget strategy.

Key Success Metrics

  • Programme Execution Efficiency: Reduction in programme delays and increased delivery success rate.
  • AI & Data-Driven Insights: Adoption of AI-powered risk and performance dashboards.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Improved client engagement and feedback on PMO-led initiatives.
  • Change Control Effectiveness: Reduction in unplanned changes and contract deviations.
  • Revenue Generation: Successful implementation of PMO monetisation strategies.

Qualifications :

  • 15 years of experience in PMO leadership within large-scale complex programmes.
  • Deep expertise in plan management customer success change management and risk/dependency tracking.
  • Strong background in AI-driven PMO operations financial tracking and predictive analytics.
  • Proven experience in leading PMO functions facing off against major consultancy and technology firms.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance governance vs. delivery pragmatism.
  • Experience in working with regulated industries (Financial Services Technology Payments etc.).
