Basic Job Functions:
The U-Channel Supervisor is responsible for the safety direction and development of the U-Channel Products Team. This role supports the goals of the u-channel fabrication department and Nucor Steel Marion in the areas of Safety Profitability Quality Environmental Cost and Productivity. Candidates must possess a high degree of dedication to handle all responsibilities of a Nucor supervisor.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to safety coupled with the ability to create and cultivate a strong safety culture.
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Previous Leadership Experience/Lead Level or Above
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership experience with automation implementation
- Understanding of fabrication and line equipment
- Previous experience leading teams including conflict resolution coaching mentoring training and relationship building
