Person responsible for end to end warehouse and logistics management along with 3PL management for Plant supply chain management
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End Warehouse Management This includes all activities from receiving goods to dispatching them:
Inbound Logistics: GRN (Goods Receipt Note) quality checks and put-away.
Storage & Inventory Control: Use of WMS (Warehouse Management System) FIFO/FEFO cycle counting.
Order Fulfilment: Picking packing staging and dispatch.
Returns Management: Handling customer returns and restocking.
KPIs: Inventory accuracy order cycle time space utilization and picking accuracy.
2. Cost Management Focuses on reducing operational expenses while maintaining service levels:
Fixed Costs: Rent salaries equipment depreciation.
Variable Costs: Packaging utilities transportation.
Strategies: Lean warehousing Energy-efficient lighting and automation Labor productivity tracking Vendor negotiations and rate benchmarking.
3. 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) Management Key to scalable and flexible logistics operations:
Selection Criteria: SLA compliance tech integration geographic reach.
Performance Monitoring: On-time delivery rate Inventory accuracy Cost per order.
Cost Optimization: Use shared warehousing Implement WMS for real-time visibility Track labor efficiency and cycle times.
4. GEM 2nd Level Champion In the Indian government procurement context (GeM Government e-Marketplace):
Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with GeM procurement policies Train and support first-level users Monitor procurement timelines and vendor performance Escalate issues and ensure resolution.
5. HSE (Health Safety and Environment) Champion Ensures workplace safety and environmental compliance:
Key Duties: Conduct safety audits and risk assessments Train staff on PPE fire safety and emergency protocols Monitor waste disposal and pollution control Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and local laws.
6. Warehouse AOP (Annual Operating Plan) Management Focuses on budgeting and forecasting:
Components:
Forecast volumes and SKUs.
Estimate fixed and variable 3PL costs.
Plan for capex (e.g. racking forklifts).
Align with sales and operations planning (S&OP).
Education :
Diploma/B.E./B. tech in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering
Experience :
Min 10 Years and above
