Job Description
- Top 100 University.
- 17% superannuation with the option to reduce to the minimum super guarantee.
- Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis until March 2026.
- Base salary range: $129497 $137029 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The University Library supports learning teaching and research through innovative services resources and spaces. The Engagement & Experience team focuses on student learning support inquiry and reference services IT support library spaces and facilities information literacy training lending and collection management.
About the opportunity
- Actively lead the planning and development of services to help the University Library meet its strategic and operational objectives.
- Manage and continuously improve inquiry reference and student IT support services as well as library spaces and physical collections.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and lead a team delivering high-quality student-focused library services.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency; a qualification in library and information studies is desirable.
- Substantial management experience in an academic library.
- Demonstrated knowledge of innovative and client-focused library and information services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of learning support for students including information literacy skills development programs reference and inquiry services.
- Demonstrated project management experience to deliver continual service improvement.
Special Requirements
- Occasional travel within the state may be required.
- Represent the University at meetings seminars and conferences interstate and overseas as required.
