Job Description

SS&C Technologies seek experienced Multi-Asset Traders to join our new outsourced trading desk in London (although initially these roles will be based in Basildon Essex). The successful candidate will be responsible for executing orders across various asset classes including equities fixed income and ETFs. Markets are traded in the US EMEA and APAC. This role will a deep understanding of market dynamics strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with portfolio managers and other stakeholders.

About the role

Key requirements are for candidates to have experience in both voice trading and electronic trading. Relationships with Market Makers across equities and ETFs is essential. Experience in algorithmic trading for global equities and a full understanding of liquidity profiles across various trading venues such as MTFs exchanges and dark pools is also required.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades across multiple asset classes ensuring best execution and adherence to regulatory requirements.

• Develop and implement trading strategies in collaboration with portfolio managers.

• Maintain and build relationships with brokers counterparties and other market participants.

• Utilise advanced trading platforms and technology to enhance trading efficiency.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of trading processes and systems.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

• Provide regular reports and updates on trading activities and market trends.

• Monitor market conditions and provide insights to the investment team.

Experience Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree is preferable but not essential. Full FCA trading approval is key.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-asset trading preferably within an outsourced trading environment.

• Strong knowledge of equities fixed income and ETF trading protocols.

• Proficiency in using OMS and EMS trading platforms and also Bloomberg.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and make quick informed decisions.

• High level of integrity and ethical standards.

• Well versed in TCA both pre-trade and live.
