About this opportunity :


The Program Manager is responsible for leading two major areas of work: organizational sustainability initiatives to reduce Nitto Avecias carbon footprint and improve operational processes and the internal governance program for Nitto Avecias systems compliance.

This role oversees complex cross-functional projects that support the companys long-term environmental sustainability goals as well as its internal compliance and process standardization efforts. The Program Manager provides structure oversight and strategic alignment across both program areas ensuring that initiatives are delivered effectively risks are managed and outcomes align with corporate priorities. This position partners closely with functional leaders project teams and executive sponsors to track progress coordinate resources and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Governance Program Management

  • Manage and report on the internal governance Nitto Minimum Standards (NIMS) program including regular updates to the Compliance Committee.
  • Complete and oversee data collection for the annual internal compliance survey.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to compliance and risk reduction.
  • Support internal audits and group activities providing guidance to Nitto Avecia SMEs.

Sustainability Program Management

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert (SME) for Sustainability at Nitto Avecia.
  • Lead project management for sustainability strategy execution aligned with Nitto Nitto Avecia and client goals.
  • Engage key stakeholders to define and refine the organizations sustainability priorities.
  • Organize and facilitate the Sustainability Core Team composed of technical SMEs.
  • Coordinate responses to external sustainability surveys (e.g. EcoVadis Activate M2030).
  • Collect and report annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data (Scopes 1 2 and 3).
  • Track and report key sustainability performance indicators to meet internal and external stakeholder expectations.
  • Manage sustainability-related client project requirements collaborating with internal teams as needed.

General Program and Project Management

  • Lead internal capital and continuous improvement (CI) projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate or perform collection and maintenance of compliance documentation and KPIs.
  • Make recommendations for ongoing process improvements and risk mitigation.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated project management skills on technical projects with 2-3 years of hands-on experience.
  • Process engineering chemistry or similar technical background in a closely related field preferred.
  • Detail orientation organization and program management skills.
  • Complete requests for Sustainability information accurately and on time.
  • Desire to learn through on-the-job experience formal and informal research.
  • Capability to effectively collaborate across departments and level e.g. mentoring advising supporting etc.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and external survey data input.
  • Knowledge of sustainability or internal risk assessment is preferred.
