About the Role:
Were on a mission at Dow Jones to provide the worlds most trusted journalism data and analysis to help people make decisions. As part of the Global Communications Team youll have a unique opportunity to help shape and tell the Dow Jones story across internal and external audiences.
In this newly-formed role you will support the day-to-day functions of a busy communications team and gain valuable hands-on experience and a front-row seat to all aspects of the profession. Youll be joining a team that is high-performing creative collaborative curious kind and fun. In turn you will possess those same traits.
You Will:
As an Internal Communications Associate youll help bring our company story to life connecting employees across offices functions and time zones with clear engaging communication. In this role you will:
Report to the Senior Manager of Internal Communications supporting the team globally and be based in our New York City office (hybrid)
Assist in shaping and publishing engaging employee-centered stories and internal contentsuch as newsletters and intranet articlesthat foster connection clarity and alignment while spotlighting our people priorities and culture.
Lead in posting digital office signs
Support with logistics and content preparation for internal events such as All-Hands meetings
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather content support campaigns and amplify key business priorities
Help maintain team resources including shared drives internal editorial calendars and email distribution lists
Pull data for all internal communication metrics reports
Design and edit graphics in Canva
Stay informed on emerging AI tools and support testing or adoption of AI-driven solutions that enhance internal communications
Provide administrative support to the team VPs and the Communications team as needed
You Have:
A Bachelors degree in Communications Journalism or a related field
02 years of professional experience with a demonstrated interest in internal communications through internships coursework or extracurricular involvement
Prior internship or work experience in communications strongly preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong sense of audience and tone
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience designing digital assets using Canva or similar tools; familiarity with basic video editing is a plus
Comfort using collaboration tools like Slack and Google Workspace (Docs Sheets Slides etc.)
Interest in working at a global company and the media industry
An ability to multitask juggling multiple responsibilities across different projects and timelines
A bias towards action and a curiosity to learn innovate and challenge the status quo (when appropriate)
Strong judgment and discretion with sensitive information
