Job Title: Sr Specialist Circuit Design Electrical Engineer - Unmanned Systems (Secret Security Clearance)

Job Schedule: 9/80 (Every other Friday off!)

Job Description:

As a Electrical Engineer Specialist in the Agile Development Group (ADG) you will be part of developing disruptive next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV). Your main duties will include leading design test and integration of circuit card assemblies containing analog digital power and high speed circuits along with supporting cables and wiring harnesses for UAS / UAVs advanced radar systems next-generation weapon systems and other RF sensor technologies.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for leading electrical design tasks including requirements analysis specification generation interface definition component selection circuit simulation schematic capture and board layout
  • Engage in advanced digital CCA and flex cable design implementing an array of complex components including both high performance and conventional data converters memory FPGAs processors op amps and logic devices
  • Design product support test hardware including breakout boards and interface cable fixtures and develop test plans and procedures for digital subsystems and all relevant documentation for design description and requirements
  • Interact with software and FPGA engineers to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits and interfaces of the CCAs
  • Participate in risk assessment and develop mitigation strategies
  • Interface with interdisciplinary design teams and reviews.
  • Schedule cost and technical responsibility at the board or sub-circuit level.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering and minimum 6years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in engineering or science and a minimum of 4years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10years of prior related Electrical Engineering experience.
  • Position requires an active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to work SAP (Special Access Program)
  • 2years or more with the following technologies:Advanced processorsI2C SPI RS232 RS422 EthernetCAN PCIeOp Amps / feedback loops/ switching circuits / power circuits andMotor drivers
  • 3 years experience with CAD tools: Simulation Modeling Schematic Capture etc.
  • Professional experience withbasic digital test equipment including oscilloscopes bus analyzers signal generator and power meters
  • Professional experience with general circuit board layout techniques

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Altium Designer Software
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills (written verbal & presentation)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Visio and Microsoft Office products
