Job Description
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.
As a Software Engineer III - Python Developer Spark Cloud at JPMorgan Chase within theCommercial & Investment Bank- Markets Technology Team youll serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job Responsibilities :
- Work closely with the broader development team to deliver tasks on-time and in-line with the roadmap
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested
- Assist in ensuring the teams success
- Keep the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of whats being developed
- Share ideas information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills :
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
- Advanced knowledge of Python and related asynchronous web frameworks e.g. Starlette Tornado etc
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Awareness of agile development methodologies
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)
- Working knowledge of public cloud technologies (AWS GCP Azure)
- Working knowledge of devops tools i.e. Jenkins GIT JIRA etc
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills :
- Graduate from a reputed institute with a degree in Computer Science Mathematics or related fields
- Domain knowledge - any progress towards CFA/FRM will be looked at positively
- Any progress towards acquiring professional certifications would be preferred
