Job Description
Job Title: Transport Shift Manager
Location: Runcorn WA7 3FZ
Job Length: 12 month fixed term contract (FTC)
Working Hours: 45 hours per week on a 3 shift rotating pattern. Either 5am to 2pm 7am to 4pm or 11am to 8pm on a Monday to Friday basis. Flexibility to work outside of these hours as required to suit business needs.

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner 1664 Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks Carlsberg Britvics brands include J2O Robinsons Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX 7UP Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.
With a strong national footprint the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 6 production facilities and 16 logistics depots servicing customers up and down the UK. As these two historical businesses have come together the one common goal remains and that is ensuring our people succeed.
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and enthusiastic Transport Shift Manager to join our successful team in Runcorn. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a management team where you will drive operational excellence ensuring an optimum and efficient cost base and legal compliance. If you are interested in joining our journey we are now recruiting for a Transport Shift Manager. Reporting to the Transport Manager this role will play a key part of our success journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for compliance of all vehicles and drivers
- Providing skills required to deliver to customers on time and in full.
- Providing high quality services to suit customer needs.
- Providing support for distribution teams to ensure smooth running of operations.
- Making sure all site objectives are met whilst not compromising on health and safety.
- Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.
- Seeing the vehicles and crew out in the morning and overseeing the return of all vehicles and crews.
- To be the point of contact for all real time delivery issues for the crews and to communicate with customer services.
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Experience supervising or leading within transport or a logistics network.
- Experience within transport compliance.
- Customer Service.
- IT literate.
- Manual Handling.
- IOSH certification beneficial however not required.
- Transport Manager CPC beneficial however not required.
